Writing is the thread that ties all of my professional experiences together.

I’ve been an agency copywriter, a medical writer for a continuing medical education provider, and a content marketing writer at a software company. And even when “writer” was not in my official job title, it was the most important work I did.

However, I reached a point where I wanted to be more than “just a writer.” I enrolled in a joint MBA/MSIS program with the intention of making a career pivot. I’ve been a hobbyist programmer since I was a teenager, and wanted to pursue that interest professionally.

But I couldn’t move away from writing. My love of it made my stand out from my B-school peers. I leveraged the combination of writing with an interest in business and technology into an internship at the Harvard Business Review followed by a role at one of the Boston area’s largest software companies.

I have since gone off the beaten post-MBA path and started my own content marketing writing business with a specific focus on serving B2B software companies. I made a bet that companies needed a skilled writer who could speak to developers and business decision makers. The bet paid off, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with numerous organizations from startups still in stealth to publicly-traded Fortune 500 companies.
